4 - jAji – jAdi malli in tamizh.

5 - mandAra – the botanical name given in the dictionary is ‘calotropis gigantea’ - ‘erukku’ in tamizh.

Comments
1muppuna – This could be translated as ‘dangerous’ because ‘muppu’ also means ‘danger’, ‘peril’ etc.; however, the form of the word (muppuna) does not seem to be appropriate to be translated so. Therefore, it has been translated as ‘in the old age’. However, both versions are given.

2mAnagu, bAgagu – This is how it is given in all the books. Accordingly, these are to be split as ‘mAnu+agu’ and ‘bAgu+agu’. There is some doubt about the exact meaning of these words and the usage in the present context.

3anga-vastra – this may be translated as a single word – upper garments or two words ‘ anga’ – limbs and ‘vastra’ – garments.

General – The first two caraNas describe the commissions leading to the clutches of death; the last caraNa describes the omission leading to clutches of death. The first two caraNas are equivalent to the typical advice of SrI rAmakRshNa paramahaMsa about ‘kAmini’ and ‘kAncan’ (given in the reverse order in the kRti here).
